My interest in computers and software started around 1988 with a Tandy 2000 from Radio shack. By 1990, I had upgraded it from 16 colors to 256 colors and a sound card that had an array of beeps and boops. It was amazing.
View my Portfolio of selected training samples. Here’s a 15 minute sample class (ZIP) I created for a recent interview. I whipped it up in a couple hours with branding and styles and it turned out pretty good, IMHO.
I have worked in an IT support role since 1997 then switched to technology training in 2013. Since then, I have developed a high-level understanding of adult learning, new hire onboarding, and an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, document management systems, document templates, legal software plugins (Litera), metadata cleaners, remote access, laptop configurations, mobile device management, and many other applications related to accounting, records management, human resources, and more.
Primary Skill Set:
- Designed and delivered in-person classroom training, virtual webinars, and instructional labs tailored to firm-wide audiences, practice groups, regional offices, and various skill levels.
- Created e-learning videos, webinars, LMS courses, and multipart training for software rollout and new hire onboarding, handling all aspects from stakeholder interviews to finalized content.
- Technical writing of quick reference guides, newsletters, and illustrations for the IT Training dept.
- Coordinated and conducted new hire onboarding training. Provided a welcoming and engaging instruction to technology followed by a new hire essentials handout and a follow-up email with links to continuing education available in the LMS and other additional resources.
- Distributed and configured firm-issued laptops and iPhones as well as MDM for personal devices.
- Developed, distributed, and analyzed assessments and evaluations to measure training program effectiveness and learning outcomes.
